Steven Tyler

Steven TylerAfter a brief stint on the Boston club circuit, under the guidance of their manager at first, Frank Connelly, the band began to work with New York managers Steve Leber and David Krebs. Their debut album, named "Eponymous" was released in 1973. They got a recording contract in 1972. It was followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which catapulted Aerosmith to worldwide fame and recognition. These albums were awash with famous hits like "Dream On", Walk This Way, "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". Aerosmith's early five albums were all multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks have been considered as the greatest album of hard rock to date. The decade passed however, the group's busy schedule of playing, recording and staying together was beginning to wear them down. Due to their use of heroin and stimulants Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music has numerous videos that demonstrate their friendship. Tyler seemed to be more dedicated to the band and the band, was seen to be resentful of Perry's passive manner and admired Perry's focus on females in his life. The tension between Tyler, Perry, and their former girlfriends was key to the gradual decline of Aerosmith in the 1980s.
