Morgan Smith
He graduated from Columbia College at Columbia University as well as Mannes College of Music in New York City, Morgan made his debut as a Seattle Opera young artist (1999-2000) and in 2001 there made his professional debut playing Donald on stage in Billy Budd. Smith is one of the Seattle favourite, has appeared in more than 12 productions, including Don Giovanni in the title role, Silvio and I Pagliacci in I Pagliacci as well Riccardo from I Puritani. He also appeared as Peter Niles, in Mourning Becomes Alive. Smith has been a regular performer and a frequent guest on stage, made the Dallas Symphony debut in Bach's St. Matthew Passion. Also, he appeared in an appearance in the North American premier of Detlef Glanert's orchestral reworking of Brahmsfamous Cycle Vier Praludien and Ernste Gesange together with the San Antonio Symphony. Other concert repertoire includes Beethoven's Ninth Symphony; the Requiems composed by Brahms, Faure, Mozart and Durufle. Mass that is in C Minor from Mozart and the Mass in G Minor composed by Vaughan Williams; Bach's B Minor Mass and numerous cantatas and Weihnachts Oratorium; Handel's Messiah as well as L'Allegro il Penseroso ed il Moderato; and Haydn's The Creation and Lord Nelson Mass.
